Another guest blog post for MoronWatch,

I am just back from a trip to Australia - hence the radio silence in here - and it was great to be home again. But some alarming stuff is going on in Australian politics so I wrote a guest blog piece for MoronWatch. Click here to enjoy it/get all riled up/etc.

  1. Hi Georgia. Don't know if you've seen this, but the new "tougher" Aussie immigration rules mean English cricket reporters must be deported before the series finishes. Whilst this might be a blessing in disguise for some(!), it remains fundamentally stupid.

    1. That reads like a story from The Onion! *checks calendar to make sure it's not April Fools Day*

    2. Nope, it's real. While I can understand the idea of deporting Sun journalists (possibly on the grounds of working for a criminal organisation) ... Maybe Abbott and his henchmen are trying to put The Onion out of business? How do you satirise that?

    3. As I think you enjoy irony, it's perhaps worth noting that the victims of this ridiculously nasty immigration policy are the cricket reporters from the Sun and Daily Mail, who are obviously righteously indignant about it. Have they not read about the dangers of uncontrolled sports reporting in their papers?
