And it wasn't ever pleasant and I'd rather it hadn't happened and the perpetrators were in the wrong - but at no point did I ever feel in fear for my life or physical wellbeing. It never stopped me from doing what I wanted, going where I wanted, when I wanted. Because I'm male and that's not what happens. At worst, it spoiled an otherwise pleasant evening. That's the structural difference and that's the problem.
